Hi! I'm Marcel Kleine.
What started with music lessons in high school grew into a fascination for everything that has to do with music. Soon I taught myself to play different instruments and applied music theory so that I understood why something sounded good or bad.
After working and studying for a while, I volunteered abroad for three months. I ultimately wanted to come back with an answer to the question, “What do I want to do when I get back and what does my future look like?” I noticed that I was still making music in a completely different environment. With the question in my head whether I could make this my job at all, I found out after a lot of research that the field of music (including audio) is very broad.
After this I immediately signed up for an audio technician / music producer course. Here I learned the ins and outs of the field: how to record bands, how to use various rack effects and how to produce my own music. I got to know the art of mixing and mastering and I was hooked. What a broad subject audio is!
I am driven and eager to learn. There are many styles of music and that number keeps growing, so there is more and more to learn every single day. Music is therefore not only special, but also interesting! I recently completed a training as a composer/sound designer for audio post-production to broaden my horizons. With my goal to become a game and film composer.
Programs I work with include Avid Pro Tools and Ableton Live. I own many plugins, including tools from iZotope, instruments from Native Instruments, and pitch correction from Celemony. With microphones from Røde, Shure, Aston and Audio Technica I record some of my instruments live.
